About Me

Meet The Therapist Behind The Therapy Smith

Hello, I’m Keziah Smith, (pronounced Kay-zee-ah, people also call me Kiz) a qualified Art Psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with a deep commitment to inclusive, creative therapy.

I aim to offer a space where people can explore their experiences, understand what they’re carrying, and feel supported in the complexity of being human. My approach is relational, collaborative, and shaped by creativity and care. I have extensive experience working with adults, young people, and children navigating a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, experiences of sexual and domestic abuse, eating difficulties, and relational concerns. I also have particular experience supporting women, neurodivergent clients, and those navigating the transitions and pressures of adolescence. This includes people who find direct communication overwhelming or who benefit from alternative ways of expressing themselves. I work to create a space where all identities are respected and held with care.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I also have the privilege to teach the next generation of Art Therapists as a lecturer on the MA Art Psychotherapy at The University of Derby.

So, if you feel like you need some extra support and are unsure where to begin, get in contact to arrange an initial meeting where we can start this thinking together.
